🌍 Start Your Journey
Think about your place in the world. What do you care about?
Welcome to your journey as a global citizen. In this first activity, your assistant KAI will help you reflect on what matters most to you and how you see your role in the world.
Take your time to think or write your answers to the following questions:
- 🌱 What issues in your community matter to you?
- 🌍 What kind of world do you want to live in?
- 🚀 What small actions can make a big difference?
💬 You can open a private conversation with KAI below to discuss your ideas.
🧠 What Do You Really Know?
Challenge your assumptions and discover what you actually believe.
Sometimes what we think we know isn’t always accurate. In this activity, your assistant Cleo will help you explore your values and examine your beliefs about the world and global issues.
🧭 Think about:
- How do your values influence how you see others?
- What assumptions do you make about people from different places?
- Do you see yourself as more privileged than others? Why or why not?
💬 Talk to Cleo below and let the critical conversation begin!
🌀 Rethinking the World
What if the world is not what you thought?
Sometimes the way we understand the world is based on limited perspectives or dominant narratives. In this unit, your assistant Cleo will help you challenge stereotypes and question what you take for granted.
🔍 Think about:
- Why do most world maps make the North look bigger and more important?
- Why do we think "developed" always means "Western"?
- Who decides what progress looks like?
💬 Start your critical conversation with Cleo below.
🔗 Everything is Connected
One problem rarely exists alone. Can you see the web?
Most challenges in our world are deeply interconnected. In this unit, your assistant Sol will help you explore how global issues like climate change, poverty, migration, and inequality are all part of complex systems.
🧠 Think about:
- What causes one issue to trigger others?
- How does solving one problem help solve others too?
- What systems are you a part of in your own life?
💬 Start your systems-thinking conversation with Sol below.
🛠️ Building New Understandings
Let’s reconstruct your thinking with clarity and compassion.
Now that you’ve begun to see the world differently, it’s time to build new ideas. In this unit, your assistant Sol will introduce you to the four core pillars of Global Citizenship Education (GCE).
🌍 The Four Pillars:
- Critical Thinking – question information and assumptions
- Systems Thinking – understand the complexity of global issues
- Empathy – connect emotionally with people and perspectives
- Active Citizenship – take action locally and globally
💬 Ask Sol to explain any of these pillars, or to help you choose one to explore more deeply.
